Vocational Training
As is true in many slum areas, women are left to fend for themselves and their family whilst the men are lost to the embrace of narcotics, crime or have abandoned their families. It is important that these women are given the opportunity to attain gainful employment and have a skill set which will enable them to earn a monthly income.
Rehnuma Trust offers vocational training for the women and girls in Sharpao Basti to increase their skills in sewing, embroidery, and other domestic skills which will allow them to get employment and not be forced into begging or force their children to be on the streets earning their family's daily bread.
